The movie is set to be released on August 6th, 2022 in Japan. Fans will be expecting the movie to be as good as Stampede, which is arguably the most well-animated One Piece movie to date. The new teaser gives a lot of reasons for the fans to be excited and with that in mind, we will take a look at the most important things that make One Piece Film:Red exhilarating.
7 Screentime For Shanks
Shanks is one of the Yonko, and he is easily a fan favorite. Despite his status, Shanks has had very limited appearances in One Piece. His most recent appearance was during the Levely arc when he met the Five Elders from the World Government. The appearance sparked a lot of controversy, and it led to many fans speculating that Shanks might not be a nice guy after all.
One Piece Film:Red will provide some much-needed screentime for Shanks, and it will undoubtedly bring him even closer to the fans. It is also very likely that Shanks might be involved in a battle.
6 Shanks’ Daughter
The biggest surprise from the teaser was the revelation of Shanks’ daughter, Uta. At the beginning of the teaser, she could be seen crying. Before leaving Uta and who appears to be her mother, Shanks reassured the former that this new physical distance between them won’t change anything about their relationship.

The teaser also suggested that Uta could do something that would hurt Shanks as a person. Uta is also seen crying after Luffy tells her that Shanks won’t keep quiet if Uta continued to do what she was doing.
5 Uta’s Role
According to the teaser, Uta is the most famous diva in One Piece’s world. The teaser also hinted that her voice has a great deal of significance since the narrator said that it could alter the world drastically. It is possible that this might be an insinuation that Uta possibly has a Devil Fruit that is related to sound in some way.
It would be certainly interesting to find out how Uta’s voice can have such power or influence. The next full trailer might reveal more information about Uta and her possible power.
4 Luffy’s New Power In The Movie
The recent manga chapters have caused a great deal of excitement within the One Piece community. It was revealed that Luffy does not possess an ordinary Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, but he actually has a Mythical Zoan-type called Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. As the name signifies, the Devil Fruit allows its user to turn into the Sun God Nika and gain the properties of rubber.

After awakening this ability, it became much easier for Luffy to fight against Kaido. The fight between the two is still going on, but the tide has turned in Luffy’s favor. It is possible that Gear Fifth will also appear in the movie, as Luffy has already used Gear Fourth in several films.
3 Appearance Of Bartolomeo
Bartolomeo is one of the members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, and he has been very open about his love for the Straw Hat Pirates. He made his first appearance during the Dressrosa arc. Ever since the arc’s conclusion, Bartolomeo has barely received any screentime.
However, that looks set to change as he is seen in the new teaser for One Piece Film: Red. Being a huge fan of the Straw Hats, it would be interesting to see Bartolomeo fight with the Straw Hats to take down a common enemy.
2 Akainu & Marines Will Get Involved
In the last One Piece movie, Stampede, the Navy had to get involved as Douglas Bullet was a huge threat to the safety of the world. The Navy had to issue a Buster Call to ensure that Bullet would not cause any further damage.
In the teaser for FilmRed, Akainu appears to be angry about something. Also, the teaser also included Koby and Helmeppo, which points toward the Marines getting involved in the movie. It looks very likely that Luffy and company will be involved in something major once again.
1 The Appearance Of Other Characters
Movies are a good way to give screentime to characters who have not been featured in quite a long time. In One Piece, this is very common as there is an astounding number of characters and it isn’t possible to put all of them in a single arc. So, the films provide an opportunity for Oda and the rest of the staff to put certain figures back on the screen.
So far, a handful of characters have already been shown in Film Red’s teaser, but the fans can expect the addition of more characters. The trailer for the movie will definitely shed light on which other characters will be a part of the story.
