Jose Mourinho’s side travel to play Mallorca, while Barcelona wait until Sunday night when they entertain Betis.
Madrid take a five point lead to Mallorca thanks to their 5-1 win at home to Granada last weekend. They also qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey Tuesday following a 1-0 win in Malaga.
Wednesday saw Sami Khedira damage his ankle and the German will miss Saturday’s game, while Angel de Maria is still a doubt. Javier Callejon and Mesut Ozil have chances of starting.
Mallorca meanwhile are euphoric after their 6-1 triumph over Real Sociedad in the Copa and Joaquin Caparros’ side will be difficult to beat as they will look to sit back and soak up pressure.
